How you get paid
- 1
Quote or accept
Quote on an open job, answer a quote request, or accept an offer sent to you.
- 2
The buyer funds escrow
Work starts once the money is held — you can see it on the contract.
- 3
Deliver
Upload files and mark it delivered. Staged jobs deliver milestone by milestone.
- 4
Get released
The buyer approves and escrow pays out to you. Single-payment jobs approve themselves 3 days after delivery if the buyer goes quiet.
What buyers hire for
Each skill has its own hiring page buyers land on. Pick the ones you do when you turn on commissions and you're listed on them.
Common questions
- What does it cost to take commissions?
- Nothing to list. A 10% platform fee comes out of each commission when it's paid out (5% on the Max plan). You see the exact split before you accept any job.
- When do I get paid?
- When the buyer approves your delivery, escrow releases to your connected payout account. If they go quiet, a single-payment job approves itself 3 days after you deliver. On milestone jobs, each milestone is released on its own.
- Do I have to start work before the buyer pays?
- No. The contract shows when escrow is funded. Start once it is — the money is already held for you.
- Can I turn down work or take a break?
- Yes. Decline any offer, set a maximum number of active jobs, or pause your listing from settings. Contracts you've already accepted carry on as agreed.
- Can buyers hire me below my price?
- No. You set a minimum budget (at least $5) and offers below it are rejected automatically.
