Overview

As a digital marketplace based in Sweden, we are legally classified as a "deemed supplier" under EU VAT rules and equivalent regulations worldwide. This means we — not individual sellers — are responsible for calculating, collecting, and remitting all applicable consumption taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) to the relevant authorities.

We use industry-leading tax automation to ensure the correct tax rate is applied based on the buyer's location, the type of product, and local legislation — across 100+ countries.

For Buyers

Tax is added at checkout

Prices listed on the marketplace are pre-tax. The applicable tax (VAT, GST, or sales tax) is calculated and added automatically during checkout based on your location.

Your receipt includes tax

After purchase, your confirmation page and receipt will show the exact tax amount charged. This can be used for your own accounting or business expense records.

Rates vary by country

Tax rates differ depending on where you're located. For example, EU VAT ranges from 17% (Luxembourg) to 27% (Hungary), while Australia charges 10% GST.

No action needed

You don't need to calculate, report, or remit any tax yourself. The platform handles everything end-to-end — you just pay the total at checkout.

For Sellers

Your earnings are unaffected

Tax is collected on top of your listed price. Your earnings remain 97.5% of the pre-tax sale price (after the 2.5% platform fee during our launch promotion). Tax never comes out of your share.

No tax obligations

Because the platform is the deemed supplier, you don't need to register for VAT, collect tax, or file returns for sales made through the marketplace.

Set prices without tax

When creating assets, simply set your desired price. Tax will be added on top at checkout — what you set is what you earn from (minus the platform fee).

Focus on creating

We handle the complexity of international tax compliance so you can focus entirely on building and selling great assets.

All digital products on the platform are classified as Electronically Supplied Services, which determines the applicable tax rate in each jurisdiction.

How It Works Technically

  1. When you proceed to checkout, your location is determined (via billing address or payment method country).
  2. The correct tax rate is calculated automatically for each item based on the product type and your jurisdiction.
  3. Tax is added on top of the listed price — the price you see on the product page is the pre-tax price.
  4. After payment, the tax amount is recorded and the platform remits it to the appropriate tax authority.
  5. Your receipt shows a breakdown of the item price and the tax charged.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I see the tax amount before checkout?

Tax rates depend on your exact location, which is determined by your billing address during checkout. We can't calculate it accurately until then.

Can I get a VAT invoice?

Your purchase confirmation includes the tax amount charged. For formal VAT invoices, please contact our support team with your purchase details.

I'm a business — can I provide my VAT number?

Business VAT number (reverse charge) support is on our roadmap. For now, all purchases include tax. Contact support if you need assistance with B2B transactions.

As a seller, do I need to charge tax separately?

No. The platform handles all tax collection automatically. Your listed price is the pre-tax price, and tax is added on top at checkout. Your earnings are not affected by tax.

What if I'm in a country with no digital tax?

If your jurisdiction doesn't impose tax on digital goods, no tax will be added at checkout. The system handles this automatically.

Are subscriptions taxed?

Yes. Subscription payments (Pro, Elite, and Buyer Plus) are treated the same as asset purchases — applicable VAT, GST, or sales tax is calculated and added at checkout based on your location.

Is tax applied to commission payments?

Yes. Commission escrow payments are subject to the same tax rules as standard purchases. Tax is calculated on the total commission amount at the time of payment.
